Rumi, the wonderful Persian poet, once asked, "Why do you stay in prison, when the door is so wide open?"
Sara's spiritual corner.....
This question resonates deeply with the essence of one's journey towards spiritual and sensual liberation. It invites us to self-reflect on the (often) invisible barriers we create for ourselves and encourages us to step through the door of opportunity that leads to a more fulfilling life.
Many of us are very blessed with our lives, and yet we often forget to appreciate what we have. We often confine ourselves in metaphorical prisons, bound by societal expectations, personal fears, as well as limiting beliefs. These constraints can stifle our true selves, preventing us from fully experiencing the richness of life as well as the depth of our own sensuality. Recognising these self-imposed limitations is the first step towards liberation.
The door that's in fact wide open:
The door to freedom is always open for us, offering countless opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery. In the realm of tantra and spiritual healing, this door manifests in practices that nurture both the body and the soul. Through learning and practising the many holistic and spiritual practices that are available to us, we can unlock our inner potential and break free from the chains of our own making.
For those souls that are at the beginning of their journey towards liberation, small, actionable steps can make a significant difference.
Perhaps you wish to start with yoga, or simple breathwork exercises to center yourself and become more aware of your body. You can incorporate meditation into your daily routine to foster a sense of calm and clarity, or read about and explore the principles of tantra by focusing on mindfulness and intentional touch in your interactions.
The truth is - the resources are available to us - there is abundance of them all around us. Sometimes, all we need to do is step out of our usual comfort zone and be open to trying new things.
You may reflect on the aspects of your life where you feel confined and consider how you can open the door to freedom...?
Choosing liberation over confinement is a powerful act of self-love and empowerment. By embracing practices that nurture both the body and the soul, we can step through the open door towards a more liberated and fulfilling life.
